Celebration Lunch
Sunday 9th October 2011
This year has seen many special birthday celebrations
and anniversaries, 50th, 60th, 70th birthdays, silver and golden
weddings. It was decided to organise a bring and share lunch to bring
the congregation together to share these wonderful events. It was held
on Sunday 9th October which was also made special by the fact that in
recognition of 400 years of the King James Bible, a booklet had been
produced including favourite passages of members of the congregation
from the bible. Prayers were said at the end of the Mass by Fr Paul and
copies were distributed - another celebration.
After Mass and usual coffee, the lunch was set out
ready. Fr Paul said Grace and all tucked in to a fantastic spread. Some
of the photographs taken during lunch are below.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising this
event and those who came and enjoyed some lovely food and company.
