Tower & Bells

The tower contains five bells, 2 are 14th century and 3 Victorian. They

The oak bell frame was given a metal girder to support the charred beams after the fire on 9th July 1945

The tower also contains the clock mechanism.

Details of the Bells

  1. Treble - "Henricos" Bagley fecit 1676

  2. Pack & Chapman, London fecit. Purchased and recast by Richard Eaton, Churchwarden 1778.

  3. Possible 14th Century, MR CRT fecit C SCT Johes Menic - Dedenhale (inscription difficult to read)

  4. Ancient Johes Malleri and Alexander Yo of Kickby (Leicester)

  5. Tenor - purchased from St. Michaels 1774 for £44.1s.0d and weighs 9cwt 3qts 2lbs
